That’s how students show their academic creativity
Students of Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences were asked to show off their creativity skills within an internal competition. This competition was about how students use digital media while learning and preparing themselves for exams. The participants handed in videos, podcasts and posters; fellow students had to choose the best invention.

Foundation for young engineers
The Grafenau-based company AVS Römer and Gabriela Römer, widow of the company founder Jpachim Christian Römer, established a foundation which is supposed to promote the Bavarian Forest as a technology and research site. The Joachim Christian Römer Stiftung had now been officially acknowledged by the government of Lower Bavaria and helps the founders to work for the benefit of the public. The yields of the paid-in assets are supposed to promote research in the field of mechanical engineering with its key subject area “fluid technics” as well as the educational training of engineers and technicians.

Prof. Benstetter new member of editorial board
The newly-established journal “Electronics” of the International Scholarly Research Network (ISRN) appointed Prof. Dr.-Ing. Günther Benstetter of Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences to its editorial board.
